What my heads says:
“Thou shalt deliver the very best each and every time.” This is my mantra for each and every commission I take on. Regardless of subject, budget or time, I strive to get the best possible images under the circumstances. It comes naturally if you care deeply about what you do. I’m never satisfied with mediocre. The images I take are directly associated with me as a photographer and my personality. They need to be precise, solid and dependable. Good commercial photography also revolves around good communication and the play of ideas between all parties. I can adapt, bend and incorporate ideas to get the job done. Whatever the format, whatever the brief, I get results. I ask one thing in return; we obey the one golden rule of photography: KISS – Keep It Simple Stupid.

What my heart says:
Photography is now natural to me – deeply a part of me. I love it’s simplicity and technical precision, it’s fallibility to error, it’s random spontaneous genius and it’s flexibility as a medium. My heart says film over digital. My heart says old school pinhole and the smell of dev in the bathroom. My hearts says gritty and grainy 35mm black and white reportage. My heart says bold, graphic and simple. My heart says photojournalism and portraiture. It says engagement with a subject and at the same time separation behind a lens. It feels the potential to tell a story, change a life, right a wrong or alter a mind. My heart says create the iconic, create the eternal. Shoot, record, document and preserve. My heart says it’s history…my heart say it’s art.
